Colour is the core inspiration for my work.

I love exploring the subtle colour changes, pattern, and structure found in nature from broad expanses of land and seascapes, to the minute details in a group of pebbles.

I am also motivated by the richness of colour in medieval and eastern art.

Over the last thirty years I have explored many different textile techniques, experimenting with hand sewing combined with machine embroidery to produce large abstract pieces of art.

I now prefer to work in miniature; having refining the techniques and experience I gained working on these larger pieces.

I use hot water soluble film, with snippets of rich fabrics and thread incorporating beads and crystals to create a unique range of machine embroidered jewellery.
